Welcome back to my beautiful world.
I had a beautiful start to 2012 by waking up on the 1st of January to our first sunny day since we'd arrived at Anaura Bay.
Chris was hungover so me, being the amazing girlfriend that I am, made him baked beans on toast with cheese.
Weather turned crappy after that.
On the 3rd we left Anaura Bay & headed home along the East Cape.
It was amazing even though the weather wasn't brilliant I still enjoyed the scenery.
We walked up to the lighthouse which is meant to be the eastern most point of New Zealand.
The sun managed to come out while we were up there which was lucky.
5th of January Chris & I headed to the beautiful Whangapoua.
Weather was amazing & sunny.
We went for a swim in the clear, warm sea.
It was nice to spend some time with my Mums side of the family for a couple of days.
Something I didn't think I would get to do over the summer.
On the 9th January I left the farm in a convoy with my family in 4 cars, 8 of us were on our way to Mount Maunganui.
Weather was nice & the place we'd booked was even nicer.
I was lucky to get the master bedroom.
Over the week we played many games of 'anus', scrabble & spoons.
We went on many walks & a couple of trips to Omanu beach which was just down the road.
We spotted the Rena a couple of times & also walked around & up the mount.
We went to the Mount Hot Pools which were lovely.
Sadly on Sunday morning it was home time.
I'd had three amazing weeks on holiday & it was time to face reality.
I'm now back in reality at work trying to fill my diaries and stressing about every little thing.
I am, however excited for the weekend.
Tonight after work I am heading up to Pukekohe to see my family & I'm going out with my Mum & Shelly to SaloonSaloon :)
Then early Saturday morning Dad, Cade & I are heading up to Kumeu in his car for the Car Show thingy & staying the night.
Sunday I am staying at Jamie's to catch up with her before she leaves for Auzzie.
Then Monday morning I have a $165 dentist appointment.
In other news:
Chris moves in with me 1st weekend of March.
He bought a white PS3 which I have at my house & have been playing Black Ops to practice for MW3.
Hope to blog more this year.
Keep your eyes peeled on my other blog as I will try upload photos from my holiday on there :)
xoxo
