Amazing

2:30pm Friday 16th September we got into my car & started our journey to Whangapoua. We drove 10 minutes up the road to Paeroa to get lunch at McDonalds which I happily paid for. He ordered a McChicken Combo with a Frozen Coke upsized to a large while I ordered a Crispy Snack Wrap combo with a frozen coke. We nibbled & talked while driving to Thames. We were lucky as we got to Thames the weather was clearing up, so I asked Chris to take a couple of photos for me as we drove along the beautiful Thames Coast. An hour or so later we arrived in Whangapoua. The moment I saw the boat ramp I was smiling. I was finally there. In my favourite place in the world, with my favourite person in the world. It was just amazing, the sun was even shining too. Once we'd got everything inside we walked hand in hand to the beach & took some photos while running around like little kids. It was great.
That night we snuggled on the couches watching NZ vs Japan & Warriors vs Tigers. Two great games!

11am Saturday 17th September we woke up to rain. I'd made plans for us to walk up Opera Point but because of the constant showers I decided to go to the rock pools instead. So I made Chris pancakes for breakfast which I might add were a little burnt. After that we went up to the end of the beach and walked around the rocks which were very sore on my feet. Once we got back to the bach we had lunch & Chris told me Teen Mom 2 was on so I got under the blanket with him & watched the marathon with my amazing boyfriend. At about 8:30pm he started to make dinner which was yummy. After that we watched Ireland vs Australia & Dragons vs Broncos. Two more great games. Then went upstairs to bed.

10am Sunday 18th September. It was leaving day. We both had breakfast and I cleaned the kitchen while he vacuumed the lounge. at about 12:30pm we locked up the bach & started our journey back to Morrinsville. We stopped in Coromandel & I bought us fish & chips for lunch which was really yummy. Even the seagulls agreed. They were surrounding my car, a couple even on my roof & bonet. After lunch we headed back & talked the whole way. As we got to the Thames Coast Chris started saying the town names in a really funny way which made me laugh lots. We decided to stop at the little blue dairy & I bought us a ice cream each. We drove back to the farm and watched TV.

It was the best little break ever. It was just what I needed. I can't wait to go on our next little adventure. Hopefully to Rotorua.

If you are ever in the Coromandel you have to check out Whangapoua. It is the most amazing place. I've been going there since I was in my Mums tum tum :)

xoxo
